Rev. Yumin Kang grew up in a Methodist pastoral family, where both his grandfather and father served as pastors. He studied theology at Mokwon University and its graduate school in Korea and later earned a Master of Divinity from Houston Graduate School of Theology. He was ordained as an elder in the Korean Methodist Church in 2009 and has served churches in both Korea and the United States.

His ministry is deeply rooted in the Methodist tradition, with a strong emphasis on prayer, Scripture, discipleship, and nurturing the next generation.

His pastoral vision is “to bring people to life in Christ and build them up as faithful disciples.” He seeks to build a healthy church through prayer, the Word, love, and faithful service.
